Fix a shuffled PDF without rescanning anything

It happens more often than anyone admits: the scanner feeds pages out of sequence, two PDFs get interleaved during a merge, or a report's appendix ends up before chapter one. The content is all there — it is just in the wrong order. Recreating the document from scratch would take an hour; fixing the order should take a minute.

This page-reorder tool opens your PDF, shows you every page as a numbered list, and lets you rearrange them however you like — nudge single pages up and down, reverse the whole document, or type an exact page sequence. When the order looks right, one click produces a corrected PDF. All of it runs in your browser, so a confidential report with shuffled pages never has to be uploaded anywhere to be fixed.

Three ways to rearrange

• Nudge pages up and down: the page list shows every page numbered; ↑ / ↓ buttons move the selected page one position at a time. Perfect when only two or three pages are out of place.
• Reverse everything: a single Reverse button flips the entire page order — the classic fix for a stack that was scanned back-to-front.
• Type an exact sequence: the order box accepts comma-separated numbers and ranges like 1,3,2,4-10. This is the fastest route for long documents: describe the final order in one line instead of clicking fifty times.
• Hide the list on huge files: a show/hide toggle collapses the page list when you are working from the order box alone.

Reordering step by step

1. Upload the PDF (up to 120 MB). The tool reads its pages and displays the numbered list.
2. Rearrange. Nudge pages with ↑ / ↓, hit Reverse for a full flip, or type a sequence like 1-3,5,4,6-20 and apply it.
3. Download the fixed file. Click "Reorder & Download" and save the corrected PDF.
4. Flip through the result. Check the first pages, the last pages, and any section boundaries — thirty seconds of verification beats resending.

Typical rescue missions

• Back-to-front scans: a document feeder that scanned the stack upside-down produces a perfectly reversed PDF — one Reverse click un-does it.
• Swapped chapters: two sections pasted in the wrong order in a thesis or manual can be swapped with the order box in seconds.
• Interleaved merges: when two documents get combined page-by-page by mistake, typing the correct sequence restores both.
• Appendix placement: move supporting pages to the end (or the front) so the document reads the way reviewers expect.
• Removing the "wrong" without deleting: need pages in a custom reading order for a presentation? Reorder a copy and keep the original intact.

Getting the order box right

The sequence syntax is simple but worth learning: list pages separated by commas, and use dashes for ranges. 1,3,2,4-10 means "page 1, then 3, then 2, then pages 4 through 10". For a clean result, every original page number should appear exactly once — if you skip page 7, page 7 will not be in the output; if you list page 5 twice, it appears twice. When in doubt, count the numbers against the total page count shown by the tool.

For very long PDFs, prefer the order box over nudging: moving page 200 to the front with ↑ / ↓ would take 199 clicks, while 200,1-199 does it instantly. And if you only need a subset of pages rather than a reorder, PDF Split extracts just the range you want.

Reordering stays on your device

Page order is metadata about your document, but the document itself can be sensitive — which is why this tool never uploads it. The PDF is parsed, rearranged, and re-saved by code running locally in your tab. Close the page and there is nothing left behind on any server, because nothing ever arrived there.
